On January 28, 2014, the superintendent of schools presented his proposed budget for FY 2015.  The presentation effectively touted the outstanding work of the employees and the students of CCPS in creating a world class school system, all the more impressive, when one realizes that the system is working with less funding per pupil than over 120 school divisions in Virginia.

The  full presentation was followed by questions from school board members with all commenting on how important it is to begin to regain the programs and personnel benefits that have been cut since 2009.  The School Board will work through the proposed budget and make recommendations for changes based on the needs as expressed by the community.  Work sessions are open to the public and  comments and suggestions can be shared with School Board members by calling or communicating via e-mail.
